An event dedicated to March 8 - International Women's Day was held at the Institute of Dendrology of ANAS.

The event was opened by the director of the institute, corresponding member of ANAS Tofig Mammadov, who congratulated the female employees of the enterprise, as well as all Azerbaijani women on their significant day and wished them good health and success in their scientific activities.

Then the chairman of the trade union of the enterprise Tunzala Zeyvaliyeva spoke about the historical services of Azerbaijani women, their role and prestige in society. He said that after the restoration of Azerbaijan's state independence, women have become active participants in the country's socio-political and socio-economic life, and have achieved numerous achievements in education, health, science and culture.

At the end, a group of women who actively participated in the scientific and social life of the institute were awarded honorary diplomas.
